Base coats and grit sand foundations

Base coats have a special constructive importance in construction processes. It is important to determine the category of the ground and also to determine its bearing capacity in order to avoid the appearance of special injuries in the future

Base coats are divided into appropriate classes according to their granulometry and clay content.

The laboratory offers the following tests on base coats:

• Limit yield and plasticity of base coats - plasticity number
• Determination of optimal base coat density
• Content of dusty and clay particles
• Determination of carrying capacity - in laboratory conditions (CBR, Swelling)
• Determination of both static and dynamic modulus of elasticity at the construction site
• Cold resistance
• Determination of base coat layers up to 15 meters with a dynamic penetrometer and extraction of samples from depth
